About Ana

She is an Architect and works as Technology manager at Voyansi.

You are an architect, but you love to teach. could you tell us more?

I always define myself as a teacher first, then as an Architect. Teaching has always been in my family, I could say is a calling that I share with my father and grandmother. I started in my 21s giving classes about software, it has been 16 years till then.

Teaching for BIM beginners has its appeal because they have a new world to discover, but training professionals lead me to learn a lot from their feedback.

What book would you recommend to students or BIM beginners?

I would recommend the “Guide for BIM implementation and Management” by David Barco Moreno. It is a book that anyone who wants to implement BIM in their company should read.

It has everything you have to know about the BIM methodology and its management, teaches you how to prepare your field to start with the technology to obtain good results.

What are you working on?

Right now I’m working on 8 open projects about BIM implementación in LATAM. Generally, 60% of the project consists of training, then we bring content generation help to the companies, like BEPs, families generation, standards definition, etc. And, at the end of the project, we provide a BIM Manager to give the client the support they need.

AN ARCHITECTURAL BUILDING THAT IMPACTED YOU

I always loved the Eiffel Tower but when I had the chance to meet it personally, I was amazed. I've always been interested in the tower's history and structure so it was very important for me to go there and see it. During my trip to Paris, I went every morning a cafe to breakfast in front of the Eiffel Tower!

tell me something interesting!

I could say that I love to read about business, entrepreneurship, and market tendencies.
In the past, I had an institute for ten years, for teaching students about software and BIM. That was my own entrepreneurship and I really enjoyed it!
