Recap: This post is the 1st installation of our series of blog posts covering the Barrio 31 Project. During the COVID-19 crisis, Autodesk offered a free license to anyone who wanted to use BIM 360. During this period, many new users grew accustomed to the rich feature set due to the low technical barrier to entry. As with years past, Autodesk has once again launched a new version of Revit. This new version contains many features that users have been waiting for in previous versions, such as the possibility to create slanted walls or realistic 3D walk-throughs. We will be focusing on a feature that we think will open up a lot of doors for designers that are leveraging BIM in their workflows: Project Refinery, an Autodesk generative design solution.

After launching Voyansi at a time when most of the world was shutting down, we knew we had to be prepared for a new normal of how we would manage communication and support with our clients. In our case, our industry is better suited than most to succeed in the work-from-home paradigm. Virtual desktops, cloud-based collaboration tools, industry webinars are among many of the different ways we can continue to push productivity while also supporting the national and global efforts to maintain some degree of distance from the broader population.

For all of you that haven't heard about Revit Server before, Revit Server is an application that can be installed on an on-premise server or the cloud that hosts a central model and allows users to connect from different offices and domains enabling collaboration of distributed teams over the cloud.
