Our client was a key stakeholder helping Argentina’s a key refiner in Argentina upgrade to its 105,500 bbl/day oil refinery in the province of Mendoza to the west of Argentina. The scope of work was huge, almost $500 million USD, and the largest upgrade in 30 years. Our team assisted with modeling skids for the installation of diesel and naphtha hydrotreatment plants. We assisted with process engineering and development of modular skids for a refinery. We also designed and calculated custom modules used in prefabrication, transportation, and erection of the new site.

This upgrade allows the refinery additional capacity of over 2500 cubic meters a day producing low sulfur diesel. The refinery is a key asset in Argentina producing all types of hydrocarbon based fuels that the country uses.
